Program Initiation: Management Became the Co-Host for International Conference of Organizational Innovation (ICOI) 2024 In Viet Nam

The Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta co-hosted the 2024 International Conference of Organizational Innovation (ICOI) held at Hoa Sen University, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. This annual three-day conference, from July 23 to 25, 2024, was attended by eight lecturers and two students from the Management Study Program, who participated as presenters and authors.

The International Association Of Organizational Innovation (IAOI) aims to establish ICOI as a world-class conference. Now in its fifteenth year, ICOI has become a prestigious forum for academics from various countries to share knowledge and innovation over the past ten years.

The event was opened by Dr. Dembowski, President of IAOI, followed by a welcome address from the President of Hoa Sen University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Thi Ngoc Thuy. The delegation from the Management Study Program was represented by lecturers including Dr. Titik Kusmantini, M.Si., Dr. Widhy Tri Astuti, M.Si., Dr. Nina Fapari Arif, M.Si., Dr. Purbudi Wahyuni, MM, Dr. Sri Dwi Ari Ambarwati, M.Si., Dra. Sri Budiwati, M.Si., Dra. Istiana Rahatmawati, M.Si., and Dra. AYN Warsiki, as well as two undergraduate Management students, Ni Made Kiki Mahendri and Fitriana Eka Safina. A master's student, Sinta Anggraeni Putri, also participated as an author but did not present.

On this occasion, the paper titled The Impact of Management Knowledge Capability on Organizational Performance with Innovation as a Mediator, authored by Dr. Titik Kusmantini, M.Si., and her team, won the award for best paper.

The conference was organized by the Indonesian Management Forum (FMI), Hoa Sen University Vietnam, and the International Association of Organizational Innovation (IAOI) USA. ICOI aims to be a primary platform for sharing knowledge and promoting innovation internationally. The conference invited experts and academics worldwide to share their research findings and best practices through presentations and publications with IAOI.

According to the Head of the Management Department, Dr. Titik Kusmantini, M.Si., who also participated in the event, this international conference is a significant opportunity to initiate collaboration in education, research, and innovation among institutions. “We encourage lecturers and students to continue pursuing international recognition, sharing research findings, and best practices globally,” she stated.

Furthermore, Dr. Titik hopes this conference will provide valuable inspiration for a better future. The conference can also serve as a medium for disseminating evidence-based research findings, significant scientific arguments, sharing best practices, and discussing current issues.
