Collaboration Initiation: The Collaborative Exploration of the Management Study Program, FEB UPN 'Veteran' Yogyakarta, Implements Partnership with Universities in Malaysia

The Management Study Program at UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta continues its collaboration with Management and Science University (MSU) and Universiti Teknikal Melaka (UTeM) in Malaysia by visiting both universities from April 25-29, 2024.

Thirteen participants, consisting of lecturers and academic staff in the field of management, joined the delegation for a four-day study visit to MSU and UTeM, beginning on Thursday, April 25, 2024. This visit aims to implement the existing collaboration and delve into comparative studies while exploring synergies in various aspects, including education, research, and community service.

During the visit, participants from UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta will also present scientific articles they have produced for joint publication with lecturers at UTeM. Likewise, lecturers at UTeM will present their scientific articles for collaborative publication. This initiative was led by Dr. Titik Kusmantini SE, M.Si, as the PIC, exploring further collaboration with the two universities in Malaysia. According to Dr. Titik Kusmantini, the joint publication activities are expected to broaden perspectives, foster research and community service cooperation internationally, which is a key focus in advancing the partnership between the two educational institutions. Another agenda at UTeM involves joint international community service by the UPNV Yogyakarta Management faculty team and the IPTK, UTeM faculty team, under the theme of Digital Marketing Education and Halal Certification for SMEs at the Halal Food Hub in Melaka. The training speakers are (1) Dr. Heru Tri Sutiono, (2) Dr. Zanne, and (3) Dr. Waqar.

Additionally, the delegation will explore opportunities to initiate the establishment of a degree program with an international partner (Management and Science University, Malaysia), specifically a double degree program for undergraduate and graduate students in the Management Study Program. This initiative aims to enhance academic exchanges and provide a space for joint learning and professional development. The agenda at MSU focuses on curriculum alignment and discussions on the technical implementation and requirements for the double degree, attended by the PIC for international cooperation at MSU with Indonesia, Dr. Pitra Ahmad, along with several deans and postgraduate officials from the Faculty of Business and Economics at MSU.
