Press Release: Entrepreneurship Week - 15 FEB MSMEs Enliven Ecofair x Ecofest 2024

The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta, once again held the Economic Fair 2024, featuring the Entrepreneurship Week, which took place on October 24-25, 2024. Under the theme "Synergy of Creativity and Business: A Festival of Collaboration," this event combined the entrepreneurial spirit with students' artistic creativity on an inspiring stage.

"This year, we are presenting 15 selected booths from FEB student SMEs that have gone through a curation process. This demonstrates the high quality and creativity of young entrepreneurs in our faculty," said the event chairperson.

Entrepreneurship Week was enlivened by two inspirational talk shows. First was the "Cuap Bismit" talk show, featuring Hugo Wenzel, an FEB student and owner of Vigilante. The second was the "Hello Alumni" talk show with Fandy Maramis Meliangan, Director of Karya Bintang Abadi, who shared his business journey after graduation.

"The collaboration between Ecofair and Ecofest this year brings a new dimension to appreciating student talent. In addition to the SME exhibition, visitors can also enjoy special performances by FEB students as part of Ecofest," added the committee.

To encourage competition and maintain quality, the committee provided three award categories for the booths: Favorite Booth, Cleanest Booth, and Most Creative Booth.

Visitors not only enjoyed a variety of SME products but also had the opportunity to participate in prize-winning games and witness the FEB Arts Exhibition, showcasing students' creative works.

The Ecofair x Ecofest 2024 Entrepreneurship Week serves as tangible proof of BEM FEB UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta’s commitment to building a creative and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem among students. By blending business and art, this event aims to catalyze the growth of a generation of entrepreneurs who are not only successful in business but also rich in creativity and innovation.
