The Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Yogyakarta (UPNYK) organized a community service project in collaboration with the Student Organization of 'Association internationale des étudiants en sciences économiques et commerciales' (UKM AIESEC) UPNYK. To support the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, AIESEC UPNYK conducted a global volunteer program by bringing in volunteers from AIESEC international to participate in this initiative.
Through a collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIPOL), a community service program was initiated with a visit to one of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) specializing in Batik in the Kota Gede area, Yogyakarta, on Tuesday, July 7, 2024. This program was also attended by international participants from AIESEC.

The Dean of FEB, Dr. Januar Eko Prasetio, M.Si., Ak., CA, stated that this program is not only a promotional event for MSMEs but also provides exposure for foreign audiences to recognize and learn about the cultural diversity in Indonesia, especially batik.
According to the Vice Dean III of FEB, Mr. Jamzani Sodik, S.E., M.Si: “This program is a collaboration between the International Relations department and FEB, where each department will bring their respective foreign students. This program serves as a means to promote as well as to provide an opportunity for foreign students to learn the process of batik production.”
This program is a form of FEB's commitment to enhancing collaboration in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education and is a tangible manifestation of FEB's commitment to improving the quality and standard of education oriented towards an international level.
